My name is Elena S. Hershey, I am Mrs.Billy’s , the wife of late Billy, the Founder and the Creator of the World Famous Billy’s Stone Crab Restaurant and Fisheries in Hollywood FL
I was born in the City of Montana, Bulgaria two hours away from the Capital City – Sofia, Bulgaria. I was raised in the far NW part of Russia and spent each spring and summer in Bulgaria . My Mother was a Bulgarian and my Father is Russian. I was taught by my parents to appreciate my dual heritage and to have the highest respect for the vast expressions of different traditions and cultures.
In a family of engineers, perfection and self-discipline were the rule. I have earned my combined Bachelor and Masters Degree in Business Administration and Management from the Northern Business Institute, Arkhangelsk, Russia
Exposure to diverse cultures allowed me to welcome and embrace the collaboration, team work, and unaccustomed approach to various tasks. A proud American Citizen since 2006, I value the diversity, liberties and the equal opportunities our country offers.
My entire career I have been in customer service and public relations. In my view, superb customer service is a must. I worked with my husband side by side for over 20 years building and developing Billy’s Stone Crab Restaurant to what it is today. At Billy’s Stone Crab Inc. I had the responsibility to oversee the successful operation of our family business, as mentioned earlier, founded and developed by my husband Billy since 1975. I was very much involved with the developing of our family restaurant brand as well as strategically positioning the restaurant as the prime and most known location spot for top quality seafood and fine dining. My multilanguage skills helped promote the restaurant to the International, Eastern European Clientele . Public relations, online reputation and expansion of our family real estate portfolio as well as looking after the family’s books and finances was among my chief priorities. I have developed Billy’s Stone Crab Restaurant social media presence and social media outlets. I was heavily involved with the online shipping business via crabs.com, customer contact, development and relations. In 2014 together with Billy and always by his side, we established and developed the Fishery on Summerland Key, FL which later became BSC Fisheries LLC . From Working with my husband Billy side by side and my involvement with the numerous local organizations and community - I became the face of Billy’s Stone Crab Restaurant and Fisheries. I have worked together with film and news crews to further promote Billy’s and our Family’s Businesses
I was a dedicated wife to my late husband Billy for over 21 years. Due to an excruciating battle with cancer, we lost my beloved husband Billy on November 4th of 2019. However I continue to be the proud Mom of our two boys Bobby 19 and Alex 15 . I have been a proud travel soccer Mom and a Mom of a debate enthusiast . Presently I continue Billy’s and our family’s legacy as Mrs. Billy’s. Having my Real Estate License since 2004, I continue to work in the real estate industry and investments.
I am a Leadership Hollywood Class 39 graduate. I’ve been a Teacher First Mate for the last 12 years, a volunteer at numerous school and community events and organizations. I support the Boys and Girls Club of Broward. I serve on the Greater Hollywood Chamber Of Commerce Board Of Directors, The Hollywood Art and Culture Center Board Of Trustees, Current VP of Ways and Means of the Symphony Of the Americas Society, Board Member of the Hollywood Beach Business Association (HBBA), Board Member with the Florida Restaurant and Lodging Association and I support the Women Empowerment Organization Suits, Stilettos and Lipstick . I believe and wholeheartedly support collaboration, peace and diplomacy. I am a philanthropist and a supporter of small and local businesses and women in business
